Let me get this right ...

Kobe is at career highs in rebounding, steals, and blocks and is playing defense like THE DPOY. He is still scoring at a 26 ppg clip and adding 5 apg AND his team is 7-3 as they played the toughest schedule in the NBA with their opponents having a 65% winning percentage.

And he is FOURTH??!!???

Funny he's down to number 4 because his scoring is down 4 points... but now that his team is winning thats still not enough?

I said this before and I'll say it again, KOBE is LONG overdue for MVP. Lets face it, MVP doesn't matter to KOBE. As long as he does what he does on the court everything else doesn't matter. You notice when the team starts winning they give little respect to KOBE and most of the credit to the "roll players" on the LAKERS, but when they lose it's all KOBE's fault. I guess that's why KOBE will never be MVP thanks to all the negativity from the media.

i think kobe will not be the mvp this season if they will not reach the finals based on his team's line-up. but if he will the key of their teamto reach the finals or he will lift up his team there, i think, he has a chance to be this season's mvp

He is fourth because Allen Iversons numbers are up in assists and he is on fire, KG is just too good way better then Bryant and Dwight Howard has his numbers up and his team is playing the best right now, so Kobe does deserve the fourth spot, he will only be MVP if he starts to dish the ball even more, cause Lebron is averaging 29 ppg and 8 assists and like 10 rebounds, so I think that he should be fourth. The only reason that Lebron is not first but fifth is that his supporting crew is sucking.

U couldn't say MJ was the best in the 80's even tho he dominated on the offensive-side and defensive-side. Magic and Bird owned the 80's. To me Kobe isn't the best. That's just my opinion. I don't have the time to state why or why not, but the guy criticizes his team and expect to win MVP.

Yes he had an amazing year but didn't win! If he won MVP 2 season ago it would of been a crazy debate. Should he of earned it while only getting eliminated in the 1st Round of the playoffs. Then again Dirk won his (LOL). I dunno

No, because the regular season MVP is a popularity contest, nothing more, and writers just don't like Kobe. It's unbelievable that the two most clearly dominant players in the last decade, Shaq and Duncan, have combined to win just 3 regular season MVPs...but SIX Finals MVPs. Garnett will win it this year because the Celtics will win 58 games and the writers will reward him for putting Boston back on the map. Thus the most recent 5 MVPs (Garnett, Nash and Nowitzki) will include only one guy who's even PLAYED in a Finals game.

Yea, I agree with you... it's sad. Kobe should have won it the last three years, but we gave it to Nash who has an all-star cast. just try switching Kobe and Nash... wow... Kobe would be in heaven, right... and then to Dirk.. Dirk was deserving, but if came to him and Kobe... Kobe hands down... Dirk has J. Terry, Devin Harris, Stackhouse, Howard... wow...

And this year Kobe has given the people what they want... he's playing both sides of the floor like he's on steriods and still no love... It's sad... how can Garnett be second when he's on an all-star team? And howard is good, but he's not more valuable to the NBA or his team more than kobe is.

No he will never win an MVP award because quite frankly he doesn't deserve it. He has never shot better than his team. His team actually has a better record in games that he's missed in his career (even without Shaq) than games with him. He has to stop shooting in order for his team to win. When he takes over the offense, his team loses. He's still shooting 7-18, 6-16, etc. And you have to be a blind Kobe lover to think he's "playing defense like a DPOY". Your stupidity sickens me.
