NBA MVP means nothing its decided by writers which makes it a joke. Its supposed to be given to the player who means the most to his team. It should be voted on after the season. Last year, Dirk wins and they get bumped in the first round, Nash wins twice, never makes it to the finals. Didn't even make it to the conference finals one year. Realistically only one team at the end of the year has a good season, the team that wins the championship. the others are just losers, if you make it to the finals and lose you're a loser with a bad draft pick. the award needs to be voted on by players and coaches after the season.

the mvp is the most valuable player, and if this player wasn't on the team they would be terrible

but it is not necessarily the best player,but i think kobe should've won it when he avg 35 ppg b.c that obv. means he was most important, easily scoring the most for a playoff team

Kobe Bryant hasn't been winning since he hasn't been leading his team to winning. People who has won lately include Steve Nash and Nowitzki, the Suns had the best records in the NBA when Steve Nash was MVP and Dirk and the Mavs went 67-15 in his MVP season, Kobe hasn't done anything like that yet, but this may be his year now that he finally has a team to lead.
